Bodrum occupies a peninsula on the Aegean with a great many bays, and coverage follows the developed ones. The thing to watch here is which country's network your phone is on: Kos is 5 km across the water.

Bodrum, specifically
- Bodrum town and the marina: Well covered, including the castle and the harbour front.
- The peninsula bays: Gümbet, Bitez, Yalıkavak and Türkbükü are all served. The smaller unpaved-road bays on the north side are thinner.
- The Kos strait: Greek masts reach the Bodrum shore comfortably, and phones do register on them. A Turkish plan does not cover Greece, so check the network name if things look wrong on the western beaches.
- Gulet cruises: The wooden-boat cruises along the coast lose signal in the emptier bays and between headlands. Multi-day trips are largely offline by design.
- Summer traffic: The peninsula's single coast road jams badly in August, which is where a live map earns its keep.
Türkiye, not Greece
The plan covers all of Türkiye. Kos is a 20-minute ferry away and Greece is a separate plan - and being in the EU, it works under different roaming rules entirely.

Frequently asked questions
Does the plan work on a day trip to Kos?
No. Kos is Greek, about 5 km across the strait and 20 minutes by ferry, and Greece needs its own plan - it is in the EU, so it also sits under a different roaming regime. Plenty of people do the crossing without thinking about it and come back to an unexpected bill.
My phone connected to a Greek network from the beach. Why?
Because Kos is close enough that Greek masts cover parts of the Bodrum peninsula, particularly on the western bays. You can leave your plan's coverage without leaving Türkiye. Pin network selection to a Turkish operator if it keeps happening.
Do I need to worry about the IMEI rule?
Only for a long stay on a local SIM - a foreign phone using a Turkish SIM beyond 120 consecutive days can be blocked unless registered. Bodrum has a seasonal-resident population for whom that is relevant. A roaming eSIM never starts the count.
eSIM not working in Bodrum?
Check the network name first - on the western bays a phone may have latched onto a Greek mast, which is outside this plan. On a gulet in an empty bay, expect nothing. Otherwise set Ohayu for mobile data, allow roaming, toggle Airplane mode. Chat and support@ohayu.com are open 24/7.
