Agadir, specifically
- The beach and the promenade: Consistent coverage along the bay and the hotel strip.
- The Kasbah and the marina: Covered. The hilltop kasbah ruin has a good vantage and good signal.
- Paradise Valley and the Atlas foothills: Half an hour inland. The road up the valley loses signal in the gorge, and the swimming pools further up have none. The tracks are unmarked, so save the route.
- Taghazout and the surf coast: The surf villages north are covered. The breaks themselves are fine - you are close to shore.
- South to Sidi Ifni and the desert: Coverage follows the road and the towns. Beyond Tafraout and towards the Sahara it becomes sparse, and the Anti-Atlas passes drop out.

Where to buy a SIM card in Agadir?
Operator shops in the town centre and Marina Agadir, plus counters at the airport. Passport registration is required. Maroc Telecom has the best reach if you are heading into the Anti-Atlas.
Is there coverage in Paradise Valley?
Not much once you are in the gorge. The road up from Agadir loses signal fairly quickly and the pools further along have none. It is a short trip that goes properly offline, and the parking areas and paths are unsigned - download the route before you leave the coast.
How far south does coverage reach?
Along the roads and in the towns, a long way - Sidi Ifni, Tafraout and Tiznit are all served. Between them, and on the Anti-Atlas passes and the desert tracks, it falls away. If you are driving south towards the Sahara, download maps and carry more water than you think you need.
