Marrakech in practice
- Inside the medina: Coverage reaches the souks, but the alleys are narrow and roofed in places, so it stutters exactly when you are lost and need it. Riads often sit behind thick walls - most have their own Wi-Fi for that reason.
- Gueliz and Hivernage: The newer districts behave like any European city. No issues around the hotels or on the main boulevards.
- Atlas day trips and the desert road: Ourika and Imlil hold on in the valleys. Over the Tizi n'Tichka toward Aït Benhaddou you lose it for long stretches, and desert camps near Merzouga have nothing at all.

Where to buy a SIM card in Marrakech?

Do I need to show ID to buy a SIM card in Marrakech?
