Coverage and network
Coverage across the pink city
France mobile networks
Toulouse is France's fourth-largest city and a serious aerospace and research hub, which shows in the network - dense 5G across the centre and the university districts, and good coverage in the business parks around Blagnac. Head south towards the mountains and it thins out fast.

Toulouse, specifically
- Capitole, Saint-Cyprien, Carmes: Strong 5G throughout the brick centre. The Garonne quays are fine too.
- Canal du Midi towpath: Covered for the stretch through the city and out towards Ramonville. Further along towards Castelnaudary it comes and goes depending on how far the towpath sits from the nearest village.
- The Pyrenees, 90 minutes south: Coverage follows the valleys and the ski resorts, not the ridgelines. Above the tree line and on the cols expect gaps, and in winter the mountain roads matter more than the signal anyway.
- Cité de l'Espace and the Airbus site: Both well covered. Guided factory tours may ask you to put the phone away, which is a policy matter rather than a signal one.
France, and the EU
One plan covers all of France, and EU roaming means it carries into Spain at domestic rates - relevant if you are crossing at Bourg-Madame or heading to San Sebastián.

Arriving in Toulouse
Airport Wi-Fi at TLS
Blagnac's free network runs in 30-minute blocks. You can reconnect as often as you like, but it will drop you mid-task, which is a nuisance while you are working out the tram into town.

Frequently asked questions
Where to buy a SIM card in Toulouse?
The operator stores are clustered around Rue Alsace-Lorraine and in the Wilson district. Blagnac has limited options and airport pricing, so town is better if you have the time.
What ID do I need for a French prepaid SIM?
A passport. French rules require the line to be traceable to a named person, so the shop registers it at the point of sale. It takes a few minutes and works fine for visitors - it is simply a shop errand. Ohayu issues no French number, so there is nothing to register.
Does the plan work in the Pyrenees?
In the valleys and the resort villages, yes. On the high cols and above the tree line there are real gaps, and they are wide enough to matter if you are walking rather than driving. Pull the map down before you leave Toulouse.
eSIM not working in Toulouse?
If you have climbed into the mountains, a gap is likely genuine rather than a fault. In the city, check the phone is drawing data from the Ohayu line with roaming permitted, then cycle Airplane mode. Chat and support@ohayu.com are open 24/7.
