Can I make phone calls or send SMS?

No. Ohayu eSIMs are data-only, but you can still make regular calls or send SMS using your primary SIM card.

How to stay in touch

You can still make calls and send messages using internet-based apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, FaceTime, or Messenger. These apps use your eSIM's data connection to reach anyone, no phone number required.

Tip for travelers

If you need to receive SMS (for example, for banking codes or verification), keep your regular SIM active alongside your Ohayu eSIM (most modern phones support dual SIM). Use your Ohayu eSIM for data and your main SIM for texts or calls when needed.
