On an Unlimited plan you stay connected the whole time and never run out of data. Each day you get up to 3 GB at full speed. After that, your data keeps working at a slower 1 Mbps, and full speed returns the next day.
This changes your speed, not your access. You are never cut off, and most everyday apps still work fine at 1 Mbps.
If you cross a time zone, the reset follows the local time of the new network. After midnight there, full speed is back.
For most travelers, 3 GB is a full day of normal use. In one day you can stream a show in HD, scroll social media for an hour or two, use maps and navigation, send messages and email, and make a short video call, with room to spare. Heavy streaming, large downloads, or sharing data with several devices will use it faster.
After 3 GB, you stay connected and most everyday apps keep working well. At 1 Mbps you can still:
A few heavy tasks are slower until the next day, such as HD or 4K streaming, large downloads, and high-quality video calls.
For most travelers 3 GB a day is plenty. If you regularly need more full-speed data, a country plan with a fixed GB package can be a good fit, and many country plans support top-ups.
You can add more days to an Unlimited plan at any time. For payment and renewal details, see what an Unlimited plan is.
