Why is my data speed slow?

Standard country plans and global plans have no speed limits or throttling from the Ohayu's side. Unlimited plans include a daily full-speed allowance, shown before you buy. If your data feels slow, it's usually caused by local network conditions or device settings. Here's what you can check and try:

1. Check your network coverage

Poor signal is the most common reason for reduced speed. Try moving to an open space or near a window for a stronger connection.

2. Watch out for weak signal zones

You may also experience weaker signal in:

  • Trains and subways

  • Buildings with many metal elements (metal blocks electromagnetic waves)

  • Thick-walled or older stone buildings (such as medieval structures in Europe)

3. Avoid crowded areas

In busy places like airports, concerts, or stadiums, many people share the same network. This can slow down data for everyone. Try moving to a quieter area or waiting a few minutes.

4. Check your device settings

  • Make sure Data Roaming is enabled and your Ohayu eSIM is selected for Mobile Data.

  • Check that your phone doesn't have data saver or usage limits enabled, which can slow your speed.

5. Restart your phone

Restarting resets your network connection and often restores full speed within seconds.
