Where it holds and where it drops
- Orlando and the parks: Strong inside the resorts and across the park estates. Queue and ride-booking apps work on peak days, which is the real test.
- Miami and Fort Lauderdale: Dense coverage across both, including South Beach and the Brickell towers.
- The Overseas Highway to Key West: Coverage runs most of the 113 miles, with short drops on the longer bridges between islands. Nothing you would notice unless you were mid-call.
- The Everglades: Limited to absent once you are off the Tamiami Trail. Airboat tours and the back country have nothing.
Panhandle to Key West

Frequently asked questions
Where to buy a SIM card in Florida?
Miami and Orlando airports both have carrier kiosks, priced above retail. A Walmart or Target in town is cheaper. An eSIM avoids the errand.
Does a prepaid SIM need ID in Florida?
No - it is a federal matter and there is no requirement anywhere in the US. A card off a Publix or Walgreens shelf needs only payment, and an eSIM needs no check at all.
Will it work in the theme parks and down in the Keys?
The parks, yes - they are built for crowd-scale data and the ride-booking apps work even at capacity. The Keys are covered along most of the Overseas Highway, with brief drops on the long bridges. The Everglades are the genuine gap: little to nothing away from the main road.
